COLLABORATIVE WORKS

FEB. 8 - FEB. 22

Over the last few years leading artists from Cape Dorset have teamed up with prominent artists in the south to create work that challenges historic notions of Inuit art. This collaboration transcended language difficulties and proved that art is a language of its own.

This is a rare example of two artists working on the same composition, improvising off of each others ideas. Luke Ramsey and Qavavau Manumie find a harmonious balance maintaining each artists voice and achieving a complex cross-cultural dialogue in the process.

Accompanying the four collaborative drawings, recent work by each artist will also be exhibited.
