Madrona Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new sculptures by B.C. artist Guthrie Gloag. This will be his fourth solo exhibition with Madrona Gallery.

In his highly anticipated 4th solo exhibition with Madrona Gallery, Guthrie Gloag’s most recent collection of works takes inspiration from an extended period of introspection. Over the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021, the artist was not able to travel to his normal locations for material. This lead to a greater level of ingenuity and, to use Gloag’s own language from his 2020 exhibition, allowed him to “Adapt” to a new way of creating work. This lead to a much longer time frame for each work which allowed more for greater nuance in the character of each work.
