Patricia Hindmarch-Watson

Patricia Hindmarch - Watson is a Victoria based artist. She started her career in Vancouver in the 1970's. She has maintained a studio practice since that time and  worked in the Fine Arts faculty at St. George's School. Patricia Hindmarch-Watson explores the connection of connecting human features to inhuman objects, focusing on how people connect and express or repress emotions only to displace them in unrelated objects. The motivation for the Rock Series comes from an interest in familiarity of the human face. It is something that from birth is used to express identity, familiarity and emotion. It is how we communicate; not only through speech but gestures and mannerisms.
