Kiakshuk (Keeakshook) was born in 1886 on the south coast of Qikiqtaaluk (Baffin Island), Nunavut. He would move with his family to the Andrew Gordon Bay area east of Cape Dorset (Baffin Island) in the early 1900s. His name has become synonymous with the early prints from Cape Dorset.

Ningiukulu Teevee is an established artist known for her storytelling ability, bold colours, and strong sense of colour. Her first print was released in 2004, and since then she has gained international attention for her work. She was the recipient of the 2023 Kenojuak Ashoona Memorial Award, and her work has been the subject of numerous group and solo exhibitions across Canada and the United States.
