Meghan Hildebrand

Born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon, Meghan went on to study art at the Kootenay School of Art in Nelson and Nova Scotia College of Art & Design in Halifax. Meghan lives and operates her studio in Powell River, on the Sunshine Coast.

"I see myself in the storytelling tradition. I provide a setting and sometimes characters; the story is left to the viewer to ponder, and possibly interpret. I am inspired by the beauty of the places I've seen, from northern Canada to ancient towns of Italy to the ocean and forests of the west coast, tempered with the darkness looming at the edges of our experience."
