Read MoreMadrona Gallery is pleased to announce a solo show of work by Shuvinai Ashoona. Shuvinai Ashoona was born in 1961 in Cape Dorset, NU. She has been instrumental in reshaping contemporary Inuit art. Her drawings break from tradition and challenge stereotypes by incorporating references to the past and present alongside her own highly imaginative and individual subject matter. Internationally, she is recognized as one of Canada’s premier artists.
