Born in Prince Rupert British Columbia, April Ponsford draws inspiration from the wild landscape of that region, and Vancouver Island as a whole. Her process combines the formality and technique of painting with intuition and artistic observance of the unique landscapes that surround her.

Bowen Island based artist Susannah Montague creates sculptures that push the boundaries of ceramics as a medium. Juxtaposing the beautiful and macabre, she uses historical references and contemporary life to create vessels for her narratives. Montague draws upon current socio-political events, feminism, and her own personal experiences while demonstrating an exceptional understanding of technique and the history of ceramics.
