Andy Miki's stylized minimal carvings of wildlife are internationally recognized as leading works that helped establish the regional aesthetic of Arviat. Miki, alongside other Arviat artists such as John Pangnark and Lucy Tasseor have influenced the following generations of carvers and made significant and lasting contributions to Canadian Art.

Joe Coffey’s talent as an observer of life in all its forms enables him to capture moments of humour, metaphor, and mystery. His animal characters leap out of the bounds of illustration in playfully theatrical contrasts. Technically dazzling and full of surprises, Coffey’s paintings upend the natural world to remind us of what makes us truly human.

Bowen Island based artist Susannah Montague creates sculptures that push the boundaries of ceramics as a medium. Juxtaposing the beautiful and macabre, she uses historical references and contemporary life to create vessels for her narratives. Montague draws upon current socio-political events, feminism, and her own personal experiences while demonstrating an exceptional understanding of technique and the history of ceramics.
