Linda Stanbridge R.C.A.

Linda Stanbridge is an internationally recognized sculptor, known for her geometric, tactile ‘visual diagrams’. Using a combination of paint, raku fired clay, burnished steel, brushed and powder coated aluminum, Linda portrays an illusion of a three dimensional object, on a two dimensional plain. Standbridge has held solo exhibitions across Canada, the US, and Europe over the past 30 years.

Linda Stanbridge was elected a member of the Royal Canadian Academy in 2010. Her work has been shown nationally and internationally in major exhibitions including, 'Fourth National Biennial of Ceramics Trois-Riveres, Quebec', 'The 13th International Biennial of Ceramics The Picasso Museum Vallauris, France', 'The Spring Show, Vancouver B.C.', 'Millenium Exhibition, The Sharjah Art Museum, The United Arab Emirates'. Stanbridge's work is included in the permanent collections of numerous public institutions including, 'Two Rivers Gallery, Prince George B.C.', 'The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, B.C.', 'The University of Victoria', 'The Canada Council Art Bank, Ottawa', and 'The Claridge Collection in Montreal Quebec' amongst others.
